What do the UTCC do?
The UTCC is comprised of volunteer community council members. The job of the UTCC is to represent the views of the community to the local authority, facilitate activities which promote community well-being, and protect and promote the identity of their community. The UTCC also takes up local issues and helps to resolve them. Our constitution can be viewed HERE.
Examples of UTCC activities include:

Reporting drainage problems, potholes or signs requiring repair.

Consulting on local planning matters, with consideration to regulations and policies passed by local government when deciding whether or not to support application.

Receiving reports from the police about local incidents.

Awarding small grants to local organisations, and bursaries to enable children to participate in sporting and other activities.

Supporting projects to enhance their community for all types of citizens – elderly, single mothers, minority groups, youths etc.

Producing community newsletters

Conducting local surveys

Campaigning on local issues

Organise community events (such as local galas)​
